about

This one is really old - wrote and forgot it completely. Found it trying to erase my myspace-profile.

I like the keyboards and the small, narrative story from the lyrics. This whole "september girls" stuff, and someone you met during a summer, and although you know you won't meet them again they haunt you.

But this mixes and this sounds... I hear inmediately that I was learning (still am) to use the new equipment, but was also starting to feel comfortable with it. I think it's also the first song in which I used my acoustic guitar, which I bought around the time. And yes, that's my girlfriend doing the high voices in the chorus.

Nice one.

lyrics

The summer of '82
the beach was grey, it felt alone
The radios played a song from Loverboy
I think it was called "When it's over"

The he met Jane, walked hand in hand
And didn't want to notice
That summer passed, they had to go
And they won't see themselves often

The end of summer
The end of summer

Then he came back two years ago
Totally obsessed with an image
The smile of Jane, the birds above
the long walks on the sand

The sun came in through the windows
and kissed the back of his lover
But she was gone, she wasn't there
and future seemed like a hole

The end of summer
The end of summer

about

J. Krawietz Berlin, Germany

J. Krawietz was born on 1981, Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
In 2009, after more than a decade playing in different bands, he started writing songs where blues and rock go hand in hand with glitches and beatboxes. In his repertoire, synthetic ballads that sound like dream landscapes coexist with nervous electric discharges that aim directly to your feet and spit syllables like a rapper. ... more
